Help me answer these questions … I was reading a post a few days ago concerning snooping. The writer is admittedly, insecure. She gets upset if her boyfriend text another female, or receives a text from a female and does not tell her. Her thoughts are, what is he doing, is he hiding something from me? So, at night when he sleeps, she snoops through his phone. She doesn't trust him, and the situation only gets exasperated when his response to her request to look through his phone is anger.
The problem with snooping is It makes your partner feel you will never trust them. And when that happens, some partners go out of their way to prove you right, to make an innocent situation, not so innocent.
As for my situation, I am a trusting person. I don't go looking for trouble. BUT, I do believe most times, when there is smoke, there is fire. Let’s be honest, if it happens today, and if I am given cause to believe you are hiding something or lying to me, I will investigate. I will snoop. In my case I am not insecure, I just don't want to be made to look like a fool.
